Skizofrenia adalah salah satu gangguan jiwa berat yang dapat diterapi dengan antipsikotik. Antipsikotik bekerja dengan menekan aksi dopamine sehingga dapat menimbulkan efek samping efek ekstrapiramidal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara ketepatan penggunaan antipsikotik dengan terjadinya efek ekstrapiramidal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Jiwa (RSJ) Provinsi Aceh, yang menggunakan metode non eksperimental observasional dengan pengambilan data secara retrospektif dari rekam medis pasien rawat inap pada periode Januari-Maret 2018. Sampel yang digunakan sebesar 70 sampel yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Profil penggunaan antipsikotik memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan antipsikotik secara tunggal mempunyai prevalensi tertinggi (56%) dengan risperidone sebagai obat yang paling sering digunakan (41%). Hasil evaluasi ketepatan penggunaan obat antipsikotik pada kategori tepat indikasi dinyatakan seluruhnya tepat dan pada kategori dosis didapatkan 99,41% dosis yang diresepkan tepat. Tingkat kejadian efek samping ekstrapiramidal tercatat terjadi pada 8 pasien (11%). Pada penelitian ini terlihat bahwa ada pengaruh antara penggunaan antipsikotik tunggal atau kombinasi terhadap kejadian efek samping ekstrapiramidal dimana penggunaan kombinasi terjadi lebih besar (6 pasien) dibandingkan penggunaan antipsikotik tunggal (2 pasien). Ketepatan penggunaan antipsikotik tidak mempunyai hubungan terhadap tingkat kejadian efek samping ekstrapiramidal (P > 0,05). This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the accuracy of the use of antipsychotics with the occurrence of extrapyramidal effects. This study was conducted at the Aceh Mental Hospital, this study used non experimental observational methods. Data were acquired retrospectively from medical records of inpatients from January-March 2018 period. The samples used in this study are 70 samples taken by using purposive sampling method. The profile of antipsychotic use shows that the use of single antipsychotics has the highest prevalence (56%) with risperidone as the most commonly used (41%). Result of the accuracy of use antipsychotic drugs from indicated category that the indication were entirely correct, whereas in dosage category 99,41% of the prescribed doses were correct. Extrapyramidal effects were noted in 8 patients (11%). In this study there is an influence between use of single or combination antipsychotics on occurrence of extrapyramidal side effect where combination use is greater (6 patients) than use of a single antipsychotic (2 patients). The accuracy of the use of antipsychotics has no relationship to the occurence of extrapyramidal side effects (P> 0.05).
