Abstrak/Catatan Abstract Name : Siti Zakiyanti Student No : 1206102020086 Study Program : English Education Title : Using Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Technique in Improving Studentsā Reading Comprehension (An Experimental Study at Second Grade of SMPN 9 Banda Aceh) Key word : Reading Comprehension, Two Stay Two Stray Technique. This study is aimed at finding out whether the Two Stay Two Stray Technique improves the studentsā reading comprehension at the second grade of SMPN 9 Banda Aceh or not. The researcher used pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The aspects covered are main idea, detail information, reference and vocabulary. Instrument used was reading test. In analyzing the data, the writer used statistical formula. The finding shows that the mean score in the post-test was higher than in pretest. The higher aspect was main idea (25 Point). In the pre-test the mean score was 44.75, and in the post-test was 77.69. Furthermore, t-test was 4.212 and t-table was 2.069. The significant level used in this study was 0.05. The value of t-test was higher than t-table (4.212 Ė 2.069), H a was accepted and H 0 was rejected. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that teaching reading by using Two Stay Two Stray Technique can improve the studentsā reading comprehension. Two Stay Two Stray Technique can be one of the alternative techniques in teaching Reading skill. vi | |
