Abstract name : siti zakiyanti student no : 1206102020086 study program : english education title : using two stay two stray (tsts) technique in improving students’ reading comprehension (an experimental study at second grade of smpn 9 banda aceh) key word : reading comprehension, two stay two stray technique. this study is aimed at finding out whether the two stay two stray technique improves the students’ reading comprehension at the second grade of smpn 9 banda aceh or not. the researcher used pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. the aspects covered are main idea, detail information, reference and vocabulary. instrument used was reading test. in analyzing the data, the writer used statistical formula. the finding shows that the mean score in the post-test was higher than in pretest. the higher aspect was main idea (25 point). in the pre-test the mean score was 44.75, and in the post-test was 77.69. furthermore,
