ABSTRAK Akupunktur merupakan teknik pengobatan alternatif yang berasal dari China. Menurut Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) keadaan insufisiensi darah meliputi defisiensi darah dan stagnasi darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efek pemberian elektroakupunktur terhadap total eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit pada kucing domestik (Felis domesticus) setelah diberi elektroakupunktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan 6 ekor kucing domestik terbagi atas 2 kelompok perlakuan terdiri dari kelompok A dan kelompok B. Kelompok A mendapatkan stimulasi elektroakupunktur pada titik anatomi BL-18 (Ganshu), SP-6 (Sanyinjiao), SI-3 (Houxi) dan Kelompok B mendapatkan stimulasi elektroakupunktur pada titik anatomi ST-36 (Housanli) dan BL-19 (Danshu). LIV-3 (Taichong). Durasi pemberian elektroakupunktur selama 10 menit dan stimulasi elektroakupunktur dilakukan 5 kali dengan jangka waktu 3 hari. Darah diperiksa sebelum (pre-test) dan setelah (post-test) perlakuan akupunktur menggunakan hematology analyzer. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode Paired-Samples T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan nyata terhadap total eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit pada kucing domestik di kelompok A dan B (p>0,05). Kesimpulannya yaitu elektroakupunktur tidak memberikan efek yang signifikan terhadap total eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit pada kucing domestik Kata kunci: Elektroakupunktur, kucing domestik, eritrosit, hemoglobin, hematokrit. ABSTRACT Acupuncture is an alternative treatment originating from China. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the condition of blood insufficiency induces blood deficiency and blood stagnation. The study aimed to determine the effect of electroacupuncture on erythrocyte number, haemoglobin level and hematocrit value in the domestic cat (Felis domesticus). This study used an experimental method with 6 domestic cats divided into 2 treated groups consisting of group A and group B. Group A received electroacupuncture stimulation of acupoint including BL-18 (Ganshu), SP-6 (Sanyinjiao), SI-3 (Houxi) and group B received electroacupuncture stimulation of acupoint including ST-36 (Housanli), BL-19 (Danshu), LIV-3 (Taichong). The duration of the electroacupuncture is 10 minutes and acupuncture stimulation was done for 5 times with a period of 3 days. The blood was examined before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the electroacupuncture treatment using haematology analyzer. Data was analyzed using the Paired-Samples T-Test. The result of the study showed there are no significant differences in the erythrocyte number, haemoglobin level and hematocrit level on group A and group B (p>0.05). The conclusion is electroacupuncture does not have a significant effect on total erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels and hematocrit values in domestic cats.
