Abstrak/Catatan Abstract Name : Uswatun Hasanah Student No : 0706102050015 Study Program : English Department Thesis Title : The Implementation of Teaching Reading Aloud by Using Phonics for Young Learners Reading is highly necessary for English foreign language students so that is important for young learners to read the words correctly and properly. Phonics is a systematic technique that will be introduced with smallest unit of letters and group of letters. Phonics in reading aloud gives contribution for young learners. This is for fourth grade students in Elementary School. To overcome the problem, the writer suggests one of the appropriate technique namely Phonics which can be applied for classroom reading to help young learner read well. Phonics gives young learners some steps in order to help them know how to spell the words in proper way. This study is aimed to explore some theories related to teaching reading aloud through Phonics. The method used in this study was library research; a kind of research that collects the data based on theories or expert’s statement. The finding shows that. This technique (Phonics) gives some contribution in helping young learners read aloud in English. It is one of the appropriate techniques to be taught. Phonics leads the young learners how to spell and read the words in appropriate way. | |
