ABSTRAK Pemilihan legislatif di Kota Banda Aceh telah dilaksanakan beberapa kali pemilihan, untuk pileg 2019 khususnya Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD), muncul beberapa nama baru salah satunya yaitu Fadhil Rahmi. Sebagai orang yang baru terjun ke dalam dunia politik, Fadhil Rahmi unggul dengan perolehan suara terbanyak kedua setelah Sudirman. Sebelumnya Fadhil Rahmi belum dikenal oleh masyarakat secara umum, Fadhil Rahmi dikenal masyarakat karena kedekatannya dengan Ustad Abdul Somad yang pada saat itu viral di youtube sebagai penceramah yang populer.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh figur Ustad Abdul Somad terhadap kemenangan Fadhil Rahmi pada pemilihan DPD RI tahun 2019 di Kota Banda Aceh dan peran Ustad Abdul Somad terhadap perolehan suara Fadhil Rahmi pada pemilihan DPD RI tahun 2019 di Kota Banda Aceh. Adapun pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix method. Teknik pengumpulan data primer yaitu melalui kuisioner dan wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder melalui dokumentasi/kepustakaan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa figur UAS berpengaruh terhadap kemenangan Fadhil Rahmi, hal ini dapat dilihat dari tingginya pemahaman masyarakat Aceh terhadap konsepsi Islam dan politik, UAS sebagai panutan dan Fadhil Rahmi selalu hadir sebagai pendamping disetiap kegiatan ceramah UAS. Peran UAS terhadap perolehan suara Fadhil Rahmi dapat dilihat dari UAS sebagai instrumen strategi utama dalam kemenangan Fadhil Rahmi, ceramah UAS mempengaruhi masyarakat dalam menentukan pilihan politik, serta panggung ceramah UAS sebagai medium kampanye politik Fadhil Rahmi. Dari hasil temuan penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa figur UAS mempengaruhi kemenangan pertama kali bagi Fadhil Rahmi dalam sejarah pemilihan legislatif. Hal ini dikarenakan popularitas UAS yang tinggi dan UAS sebagai panutan bagi masyarakat, sehingga dapat menumbuhkan rasa kepercayaan pemilih terhadap Fadhil Rahmi dalam memberikan pilihannya. ABSTRACT The legislative elections in Banda Aceh have been held several times, for the 2019 legislative elections, especially the Regional Representative Council (DPD), several new names have emerged, one of which is Fadhil Rahmi. As someone who is new to the world of politics, Fadhil Rahmi excels with the second most votes after Sudirman. Previously, Fadhil Rahmi was not known by the general public, Fadhil Rahmi was known to the public for his closeness to Ustad Abdul Somad, who at that time went viral on YouTube as a popular speaker. This research aims to determine the influence of Ustad Abdul Somad's figure on Fadhil Rahmi's victory in the 2019 DPD election in Banda Aceh City and the role of Ustad Abdul Somad in Fadhil Rahmi's vote acquisition in the 2019 DPD election in Banda Aceh City. The research approach used a mixed method approach. The primary data collection techniques are through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data is through documentation / literature. The results of this research indicate that the UAS’s figure influences Fadhil Rahmi's victory, this can be seen from the high understanding of the Acehnese society of the conceptions of Islam and politics, UAS as a role model and Fadhil Rahmi is always present as a companion in every UAS’s speech activity. The role of UAS in obtaining Fadhil Rahmi's votes can be seenfrom UAS as the main strategic instrument in Fadhil Rahmi's victory, UAS’s speech influence the public in determining political choices, as well as UAS speech stage as a medium for Fadhil Rahmi's political campaign. From the research findings, it can be concluded that the figure of UAS influenced Fadhil Rahmi's first victory in the history of legislative elections. This is due to the high popularity of UAS and UAS as role models for the community, so that it can foster a sense of voter confidence in Fadhil Rahmi in giving their choice.
