The hospital functions as a place to get healthcare for patients. The success of the service is also supported by the completeness of good medical equipment and optimal service aspects at the hospital to reduce the number of patients. However, the accident rate that occurred in Indonesia was one of the causes of the high number of bone desease patients suffered in the community. Accident rates in Aceh have increased in the last 5 years, which has resulted in an increase impatient for orthopaedic cases. The number of patients with orthopaedic cases has also increased for the past 5 years, which is 83.521 cases in Banda Aceh. Therefor, the design of this Orthopaedic Hospital aims to accommodate all cases that occur in the orthopaedic context. The presence of this hospital is expected to reduce the number of patients with bone desease cases in Banda Aceh in particular. This hospital is designed with consideration of the selection of environmental concepts as aspects of healing for patients, namely the healing environment. This approach is intended to realize the healing process by using the principles as a whole in the form of physical and non-physical environment that was created to help the healing process. Healing environment is one of the methods used to cure patients by using nature as the basis of healing. If related to design, this concept can accommodate users to pay attention to the environment without reducing other needs. The healing process of patients is influenced by several factors including 40 % environmental factors, 10% medical factors, 20 % genetic factors, and 30% other factors. Therefor, the environment has a large role in the patient’s healing process. Rumah sakit difungsikan sebagai tempat untuk mendapatkan pelayanan kesehatan bagi pasien. Keberhasilan pelayanan juga ditunjang oleh kelengkapan alat kesehatan yang baik serta aspek pelayanan yang optimal pada rumah sakit untuk mengurangi angka pasien. Namun, angka kecelakaan yang terjadi di Indonesia menjadi salah satu penyebab tingginya pasien kasus penyakit tulang yang diderita di masyarakat. Angka kecelakaan di Aceh meningkat pada 5 tahun terakhir sehingga berdampak pada meningkatnya pasien untuk kasus orthopaedi. Jumlah pasien dengan kasus orthopaedi juga meningkat untuk 5 tahun terakhir yaitu sebanyak 83.521 kasus di Banda Aceh. Oleh sebab itu, perancangan Rumah Sakit Orthopaedi ini bertujuan untuk mewadahi seluruh kasus yang terjadi dalm konteks orthopaedi. Dengan hadirnya rumah sakit ini, diharapkan akan mengurangi jumlah pasien terhadap kasus penyakit tulang di Banda Aceh khususnya. Rumah sakit ini dirancnag dengan pertimbangan pemilihan konsep lingkungan sebagai aspek penyembuh bagi pasien yaitu healing environment. Pendekatan ini dimaksudkan untuk mewujudkan proses penyembuhan dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip secara keseluruhan berupa lingkungan fisik dan non-fisik yang diciptakan untuk membantu proses penyembuhan. Healing environment merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk menyembuhkan pasien dengan menggunakan alam sebagai dasar dari penyembuhannya. Jika dikaitkan dengan rancangan, konsep ini dapat mengakomodasikan pengguna untuk memperhatikan lingkungan tanpa mengurangi kebutuhan lainnya. Proses penyembuhan pasien dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yang diantaranya adalah 40% faktor lingkungan, faktor medis 10%, faktor genetis 20%, dan faktor lain 30%. Oleh karena itu, lingkungan memiliki peran yang besar dalam proses penyembuhan pasien.
