Abstrak/Catatan This research is aimed at investigating the use of Duolingo media in learning English as students’ assignment at eleventh grade students of Methodist Senior High School. A case study was used as the research design in this study. The participant is an English teacher and eleventh grade students of Methodist school which consists of 30 students. The data were collected by interviewing the teacher, by looking at documents: students’ midterm score and students’ report achievement and giving students questionnaire in order to attain the data needed for this research. The data from interview was analyzed by using procedure of data analysis from Miles and Huberman (1994), while the data from documents, the students’ midterm score and students’ report achievement, were analyzed by simple calculation then the researcher calculates it manually, while the data from questionnaires were analyzed by using percentage formula from Sudjana (2002). The research findings show that the teacher considers using the Duolingo media because it can improve students willingness to do the assignment at home via Duolingo media and language skill communication in learning English. In conclusion, Duolingo media can apply in learning English for assignment at home because it makes students excited and interested to do homework. | |
