Abstrak/Catatan ABSTRAK Pantai Lampuuk merupakan pantai yang umumnya digunakan untuk kegiatan pariwisata di Aceh Besar. Pantai ini telah tercemar tumpahan batubara, sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinya pelepasan kandungan logam berat pada sedimen dilokasi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat Mn dan Cu pada sedimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di perairan pantai Lampuuk, Aceh Besar pada bulan Desember 2018. Pengambilan sampel sedimen dilakukan pada lima stasiun pengamatan dengan metode purposive random sampling. Sampel dianalisis menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) di laboratorium Balai Riset dan Standarisasi Industri (BARISTAND). Hasil analisis sampel sedimen diperoleh kadar logam berat Mn berkisar antara 60,25-98,78 mg/kg. Sebaliknya logam berat Cu tidak terdeteksi di lima lokasi pengamatan. Cemaran logam berat Mn di sedimen perairan Lampuuk telah melewati ambang batas yaitu >5 mg/kg sesuai ketentuan oleh Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC, 2000). Kata kunci : Logam berat Mn, logam berat Cu, sedimen, batubara, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). ABSTRACT Lampuuk is one of touristic sites in Aceh Besar district. Coal spilled in the waters had release some of heavy metals and adsorbed in sediment layer. Beach a that is generally used for tourism activities. The objective of this study was to analyzed the Mn and Cu content in sediment. The research was conducted in the coastal waters of Lampuuk, Aceh Besar in December 2018. Samples of sediment were collected from five Stations using purpossive random sampling method. Samples analized were using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) at Industry Research and Standardization Center laboratory (BARISTAND). The results showed that samplescontained of Mn metal (60,25-98,78 mg/kg) while Cu metal was not detected. Mn content in sediment from Lampuuk waters exceeded the quality standard threshold which was >5 mg/kg based on the regulation of Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC, 2000).
