ABSTRAK Partisipasi politik berupa Pemilihan Umum, termasuk Pemilihan Kepala Daerah merupakan salah satu aspek dari pemberlakuan Sistem Demokrasi.Pilkada Serentak Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya telah dilaksanakan pada 15 Februari 2017 yang diikuti oleh 9 Pasangan Calon Bupati dan Wakil Bupati. Pasangan Calon Bupati dan Wakil Bupati nomor urut 9, Erwanto dan Muzakir ND sebagai pasangan petahana yang diusung oleh Partai Aceh kalah dari pasangan nomor urut 1 yaitu Akmal Ibrahim dan Muslizar.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab penurunan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap elit politik Partai Aceh sehingga pasangan Erwanto dan Muzakir ND kalah dalam Pilkada Serentak Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya serta untuk mengetahui penyebab masyarakat lebih mempercayai Akmal Ibrahim dibandingkan Erwanto.Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualititif dengan tipe deskriptif sebagai pendekatan penelitian.Data primer diperoleh melalui hasil wawancara dan dokumentasi sedangkan data sekunder melalui buku, jurnal dan bacaan yang terkait dengan penelitian.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab kekalahan pasangan Erwanto dan Muzakir ND dikarenakan oleh konflik internal elit Partai Aceh sehingga menyebabkan pecahnya dukungan Partai Aceh yang tersebar kebeberapa calon pasangan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati.Ketidakpercayaan masyarakat terhadap janji politik Partai Aceh, hal ini berkaitan dengan kepemimpinan Jufri Hassanudin dan Erwanto pada periode sebelumnya yang kurang berhasil menurut masyarakat. Rendahnya elektabilitas Erwanto sebagai calon pertahana, kurangnya sosialisasi antara Erwanto dengan masyarakat menyebabkan sosok Erwanto tidak terlalu dikenal baik oleh masyarakat. Temuan lain penelitianadalah masyarakat lebih memilih Akmal Ibrahim dibandingkan Erwanto karena figur Akmal Ibrahim yang dikenal dekat dengan masyarakat serta Program Akmal Ibrahim pada periode kepemimpinan 2007-2017 lebih aspiratif dan dapat dirasakan langsung oleh masyarakat, menjadikan tolok ukur masyarakat dalam memilih Akmal Ibrahim pada Pilkada Serentak Kabupaten Abdya 2017.Kesimpulan penelitian penurunan kepercayaan karena Pecahnya suara Elit Partai Aceh Abdya dan figur lawan Erwanto pada saat Pilkada. ABSTRACT Political participation like general election, including Head Regional election is one of the aspects of democracy system implementation. The regional election in Aceh Barat Regency was held simultaneously on February 15, 2017, where nine of regent and vice regent candidates took part. The regent and vice regent candidates of number 9, Erwanto and Muzakir ND as the incumbent who were from Aceh Party was defeated by the candidates number 1, Akmal Ibrahim and Muslizar. The aim of this study is to define the causes of public trust decline towards the politician from Aceh party which leads Erwanto and Muzakir ND to be defeated in the regional election of Aceh Barat Daya Regency. Besides, this study aims to find out the reasons why the community trusts Akmal Ibrahim over Erwanto. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The primary data was obtained through interview and documentation. While the secondary data was obtained through books, journals, and other references related to this study. The result of this research shows that the defeat causal factor of Erwanto and Muzakir ND is the internal conflict among the Aceh party elites which makes the community support shifted to some other candidates. The community distrusts towards the political election promise of Aceh party is highly correlated to community’s views of Jufri Hasanuddin and Erwanto less successful administration on the last period. The low electability of Erwanto as the incumbent and the lack of socialization make Erwanto becomes less popular in the community. Another finding in this study shows that the community prefers Akmal Ibrahim than Erwanto because Akmal Ibrahim is well known among community on 2007-2017 periode during those years. His leadershipis viewed as more aspirational and impressive. These reasons are made as the bench marks for the community to choose Akmal Ibrahim in the Regional Election in Aceh Barat Daya Regency in 2017. In conclusion, the public trust decline towards the politicians of Aceh Party related to Erwanto and Muzakir ND defeat on the Aceh Barat Daya simoultaneous Regional Election in 2017 is caused by the shifted voice to support the of the politician voice of Aceh party and the great figure of Erwanto’s rival in the regional election.
