ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat penerapan biaya kualitas pada usaha jasa jahit (tailor) di Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penenlitian ini adalah usaha jasa jahit yang ada di Banda Aceh. Setalah dilakukan penentuan maka sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah CV. Kuta Alam Tailor dan CV. Aceh Moda Tailor. Objek penelitian ini adalah biaya kualitas yang diterapkan dalam perusahaan selama 2015 – 2017. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan penelitian ini sebagian besar berasal dari dokumentasi dan literatur penelitian sebelumnya. Peneliti melakukan analisis dengan melihat seberapa besar dan biaya apa saja yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan terkait dengan biaya kualitas serta melihat harga pokok penjualan sebelum dan setelah dimasukkan biaya kualitas .Selain itu juga melihat biaya kualitas yang dikeluarkan sudah dibawah 2.5% dari penjualan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan CV. Kuta Alam Tailor dan CV. Aceh Moda Tailor terkait dengan biaya kualitas masih berada diatas 2.5% sehingga menunjukkan terjadi pemborosan biaya dan terjadi perbedaan harga pokok penjualan yang relative besar jika dimasukkan biaya kualitas kedalam harga pokok penjualan.Selain itu juga ditemukan bahwa perusahaan tidak membuat laporan biaya kualitas secara khusus. Kata Kunci: Biaya Kualitas   ABSTRACT This research used qualitative descriptive research approach. The purpose of this study was to find out the application of cost of quality on tailors in Banda Aceh. The population of this research was tailors in Banda Aceh. After some determinations, the samples of this research were CV. Kuta Alam Tailor and CV. Aceh Moda Tailor. The object of this research was the cost of quality applied in these firms during 2015 – 2017. The data collecting method used in this research was mainly from documentation and the latest research. Researcher analyzed the data by looking at how much and what are the costs incurred by the firms related to the cost of quality and cost of goods sold before and after the cost of quality were added. After that, the researcher also looked at the cost of quality that reached under 2.5% of sales. The result of the research show that CV. Kuta Alam Tailor and CV. Aceh Moda Tailor in term of cost of quality were still above 2.5% of sales thus indicating the cost extravagancy and there were big different in the cost of the goods sold if the cost of quality is included into the cost of goods sold. Besides, it was also found that both of firms did not make a quality cost report specifically. Keywords: Cost of Quality
