ANALISA PERMINTAAN BAWANG MERAH LOKAL DI KOTA BANDA ACEH Oleh Ria Tetra V S/Agribisnis Unsyiah ABSTRAK Bawang merah merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang memilki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan peluang pasar yang besar sebagai bumbu untuk dikonsumsi rumah tangga, bahan obat tradisional dan bahan baku industri pengolahan. Produksi bawang merah lokal tidak mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi dalam negeri sehingga pemerintah mengimpor bawang merah untuk memenuhi permintaan bawang merah. Permintaan bawang merah di Kota banda Aceh cenderung mengalami peningkatan hal ini seiring dengan adanya pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk. Namun terjadinya penurunan produksi di beberapa daerah Provinsi Aceh dan perubahan kebijakan impor menyebabkan persediaan bawang merah di pasar menipis. Kondisi ini dapat menyebabkan harga menjadi meningkat sehingga dapat mempengaruhi permintaan bawang merah lokal di Kota Banda Aceh. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah harga bawang merah lokal, harga bawang merah impor, jumlah penduduk dan pendapatan perkapita masyarakat Kota Banda Aceh dapat mempengaruhi permintaan bawang merah lokal di Kota Banda Aceh. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan model persamaan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan Software SPSS versi 16.0. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara serempak variabel dependen mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel independent, namun secara parsial harga bawang merah lokal, harga bawang merah impor dan jumlah penduduk mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan sedangkan pendapatan perkapita masyarakat Kota Banda Aceh mempunyai pengaruh yang tidak signifikan. Local onion production is unable to meet the need of domestic consumption so that the government has imported onion to meet the demand of it. The demand for onion in Banda Aceh tends to increase in line with the population growth. However, the decline of onion production in several regions of Aceh Province and import policy changes cause the supply of onion at the market thinned. This condition can cause the price rises and affect the demand for local onion in Banda Aceh. The aim of this study is to determine whether the price of local onion, the price of imported onion, the number of population and per capita income of the people of Banda Aceh affect the demand for local onion in Banda Aceh. The method of data analysis used is the regression model of multiple linear with the help of SPSS version 16.0. The study result showed that the dependent variable simultaneously has a significant effect on the independent variable, but partially the price of local onion, the price of imported onion and the number of population have significant effect while per capita income of the people of Banda Aceh has insignificant effect.
