ABSTRAK Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari kita tidak luput dari penggunaan air dan itu telah menjadi rutinitas yang harus dipenuhi dan juga air merupakan sumber kehidupan di alam semesta ini, dengan demikian air akan sangat berpengaruh dalam kehidupan ini, air sangatlah penting untuk kehidupan pokok, dalam ilmu kedokteran juga disebutkan bahwa 60-70% dalam struktur tubuh manusia itu adalah air, berdasarkan teori tersebut kebutuhan air pada kehidupan sehari-hari yang harus terpenuhi, dalam hal ini perlu adanya pendekatan ke masyarakat sehingga di ketahui sejauh mana pelayanan instansi terkait untuk pelayanan air bersih di Kabupaten Aceh Besar dengan melakukan survey dan observasi, dengan adanya survey dan observasi diharapkan dapat mengetahui keluhan masyarakat akan air bersih, hasil dari penelitian ini berupa peta tematik yang menjelaskan daerah pelayanan air bersih di Kabupaten Aceh Besar dengan titik instansi dan jaringan distribusi air sehingga diketahui dengan jelas letak instansi pengelolaan air dan selanjutnya dapat menjadi acuan untuk pengembangan pembangunan untuk ke depannya.
