ABSTRACT This research is titled Television news on the manner of parents in supervision children. This research aims to get to know the impact of the sexual violence news in television toward the manner of parents in state Gampong Lambusoe Keramat Luar. The theory which is used in this research is cultivation theory, the theory which is explain that impact that showed by television could effect the manner and behavior of public that are the target in yhis research about the manner of parents in supervision children. The type of this research is quantitative research with descriptive research approach. The number of the respondents in this research is 100 respondents which are chosen by purposive sampling. The data accumulation technic which used in this research is field research. That’s distributing questionnaires. The primary data in this research is obtained from questionnaire which the measurement scale using a likert scale and statistically processed by SPSS program version 20.0 ie testing the validation, rehabilitation, hypothesis, normality, and simple linear regression. Based on the results of the simple linear regression analysis there is a considerable positive influence between the sexual violence in the television news on the manner of parents in supervision children with regression coefficient 0,720 (firm correlation). The hypothesis test result is derived from the value of thitung (count) is 7,194 and the ttabel (table) value at α 0,05 on the 2 test side is known 1,984. Based on the criteria of the hypothesis test that’s, if thitung (count) bigger than ttabel (table) (7,194>1,984), then Ha is accepted. Consequently, it could be stated that the variable of the news of sexual violence has a positive influence and the significanse with the variable attitude of parents in supervision children. That means wacthing the sexual violence news on television could influence the manner of parents in supervision children. Keywords: news, sexual violence, manner ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Pemberitaan Kekerasan Seksual di Televisi Terhadap Sikap Orang Tua Dalam Pengawasan Anak.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberitaan kekerasan seksual di televisi terhadap sikap orang tua di Gampong LambuesoKeramat Luar.Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kultivasi dimana teori ini menjelaskan bahwa dampak yang dimunculkan oleh televisi dapat mempengaruhi sikap dan perilaku khalayak yang merupakan sasaran pada penelitian ini tentang sikap orang tua dalam pengawasan anak.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif.Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 responden yang terpilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner.Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner yang skala pengukurannya menggunakan skala likert dan diolah secara statistik dengan program SPSS versi 20.0 yaitu uji validitas dan reabilitas, uji hipotesis, uji normalitas, uji regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis regresi liniear sederhana bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang cukup positif antara pemberitaan kekerasan seksual di televisi terhadap sikap orang tua dalam pengawasan anak dengan koefisien regresi 0,720 (hubungan yang cukup erat). Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung adalah 7,194 dan nilai ttabel pada α 0,05 pada uji 2 sisi diketahui 1,984. Berdasarkan kriteria uji hipotesis yaitu jika thitung lebih besar dari ttabel(7,194>1,984), maka Ha diterima.Oleh karena itu, dapat dinyatakan bahwa variabel pemberitaan kekerasan seksual di televisi memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikansi dengan variabel sikap orang tua dalam pengawasan anak.Artinya melihat pemberitaan kekerasan seksual di televisi dapat mempengaruhi sikap orang tua dalam pengawasan anak.
