ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Pesan Pictorial Health Warning Pada Bungkus Rokok Tentang Bahaya Merokok Terhadap Perubahan Perilaku Perokok Di Kota Banda Aceh”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pesan pictorial health warning pada bungkus rokok tentang bahaya merokok terhadap perubahan perilaku perokok di Kota Banda Aceh, serta melihat pengaruh antara variabel bebas (X) dengan variabel terikat (Y). Pesan pictorial health warning adalah variabel bebas (X) dan perubahan perilaku perokok merupakan variabel terikat (Y) yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada masyarakat yang merupakan perokok aktif yang berdomisili di Kota Banda Aceh. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perokok aktif yang berdomisili pada sembilan kecamatan yang ada di Kota Banda Aceh, sudah merokok minimal selama 1 tahun dan berumur 21 sampai 56 tahun, kemudian ditarik sampel sebanyak 180 orang. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori kemungkinan elaborasi. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner yang skala pengukurannya menggunakan skala likert dan diolah secara statistik dengan program SPSS versi 20.0, yaitu uji normalitas, regresi linear sederhana, uji t-hitung serta identifikasi determinan dan menjelaskan kuesioner secara eksplanasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis di peroleh nilai thitung adalah 12,073 dan nilai ttabel pada α 0,05 pada uji 2 sisi diketahui 1,973. Berdasarkan kriteria uji hipotesis yaitu jika thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (12,073 > 1,973), maka Ha diterima, artinya pesan pictorial health warning berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap perubahan perilaku perokok di Kota Banda Aceh. ABSTRACT This study, entitled "The Effects of Pictorial Health Warning Messages On Cigarette Packets About The Dangers Of Smoking To Change The Behavior of Smokers In The City Of Banda Aceh". This study aims to determine the effect of pictorial health warning messages on cigarette packets about the dangers of smoking to change the behavior of smokers in the city of Banda Aceh, as well as the influence of the independent variable (X) and dependent variable (Y). Message pictorial health warning is the independent variable (X) and change the behavior of smokers is the dependent variable (Y) used in this study. This study was done on people who are active smokers who live in the city of Banda Aceh. The population in this study were active smokers who live in the nine districts in the city of Banda Aceh, have been smoking for at least 1 year and aged 21 to 56 years, then pulled a sample of 180 people. The theory used in this study uses probability theory elaboration. Primary data in this study were obtained from questionnaires measurement scale using Likert scale and statistically processed with SPSS version 20.0, is the normality test, simple linear regression, t-count and identification of determinants and explain questionnaire explanation. Based on the results of this study concluded that the hypothesis testing results obtained t-count value is 12.073 and the t-table value at α 0.05 on a two side test known 1.973. Based on the hypothesis that the test criteria if the t-count larger than t-table (12.073> 1.973), the Ha accepted, meaning that pictorial health warning messages significant and positive impact to change the behavior of smokers in the city of Banda Aceh Keywords: Pictorial Health Warning, Smoking, Behavior Change, Probability Theory Elaboration.
