Abstrak/Catatan This research is an experimental study which uses one group pre test- post test design. It was conducted at MTsN MODEL B. Aceh. The purpose of this study is to to find out whether Cooperative Learning Picture and Picture Technique can improve students’ ability in writing recount text. From the result of the study, it was found that the students’ mean scores of pre test and post test are different. Students’ mean scores of pre test are 56.3 and 80.7 for post test. Then the t-test is 15,22 and the t-table is 2.035. The significant level used in this research is 0.05. Because of the value of t-test is higher than the t-table (15.22>2.035), Ha is accepted and H0 was rejected. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that cooperative learning picture and picture technique can improve students’ ability in writing recount text. Indeed, it is recommended for teachers to apply this strategy in teaching English, especially in teaching writing. | |
