The sample of this study was class XIb which consisted of 14 students. The writer used purposive sampling to choose the sample. This study used one group pretest-posttest design; it is one of research designs in experimental research. The instruments used in this study were tests; they were pretest and post-test. Both pre-test and post-test consisted of twenty questions. The materials used in the test were hortatory exposition texts. This research was analyzed by using t-test formula. The calculation result showed that t value is higher than t table (10.035 > 1.771), at the 0.05 level significance. It means that alternatives hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. So, it can be concluded that using reciprocal teaching strategy in teaching reading has improved students’ reading comprehension. | |
