ABSTRAK Nama : Wizatul Azifah Program Studi : Kedokteran Gigi Judul : Gambaran Kasus Pencabutan Gigi Persistensi di Poliklinik Gigi Ibu dan Anak Pemerintah Aceh Tahun 2010. Eksfoliasi gigi sulung pada waktunya terkadang tidak selalu terjadi dan biasanya gigi sulung akan tetap bertahan lama di rongga mulut. Gigi sulung yang masih belum tanggal saat gigi permanen penggantinya erupsi disebut persistensi dan harus dicabut. Gigi persistensi yang tidak dicabut dapat menyebabkan maloklusi, erupsi ektopik bahkan impaksi gigi permanen penggantinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kasus pencabutan gigi persistensi di Poliklinik Gigi Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak Pemerintah Aceh Tahun 2010, berdasarkan jenis kelamin, rahang yang terlibat dan jenis gigi yang dicabut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan data sekunder berupa rekam medik pasien tahun 2010. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 1121 kasus pencabutan gigi sulung di Poliklinik Gigi Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak Pemerintah Aceh, diperoleh kasus pencabutan gigi persistensi sebanyak 383 kasus (34,17%) dari 284 rekam medik pasien. Pencabutan gigi persistensi lebih banyak terjadi pada perempuan (61,27%) dan paling banyak ditemukan pada rahang bawah (19,80%) dibandingkan rahang atas (14,36%). Jenis gigi persistensi yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah insisif sentral rahang bawah (9,45%) diikuti dengan gigi insisif sentral rahang atas (6,42%). Exfoliation of deciduous teeth at the right times sometimes does not always occur and occasionally deciduous teeth may remain in the oral cavity. Deciduous teeth that is retained when the permanent successors erupted can be considered prolonged retention and should be removed. Prolonged retention of deciduous teeth that have not removed can causes malocclusion, ectopic eruption even impaction of their permanent successors teeth. This study purpose was to know the prolonged retention of deciduous teeth extraction cases description at Ibu dan Anak Pemerintah Aceh Hospital Dental Clinic in 2010, based on gender, the jaw involved in and element extraction of deciduous teeth. The study typed used was descriptive study with the secondary data taken from patient medical records in 2010. This study result showed that from 1121 deciduous teeth extraction cases at Ibu dan Anak Pemerintah Aceh Hospital Dental Clinic, prolonged retention of deciduous teeth extraction cases was observed in 383 cases (34,17%) from 284 patient medical records. Prolonged retention of deciduous teeth extraction cases were observed higher in female (61,27%) and were found most frequently in the mandible (19,80%) rather than maxilla (14,36%). The most common type of prolonged retention of deciduous teeth seen on the dental arch were mandibular primary central incisors (9,45%), followed by maxillary primary central incisors (6,42%).
