ABSTRAK Salah satu upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru yaitu melalui sertifikasi. Guru- guru biologi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie ada yang belum dan sudah sertifikasi, untuk mengetahui kinerja kedua kelompok guru tersebut dilakukan penelitian tentang Studi Komparatif Kinerja Guru Biologi yang belum Sertifikasi dengan Guru Biologi yang telah Sertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui kinerja guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi dengan yang telah bersertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie; (2) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi dan guru biologi yang telah sertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru mata pelajaran biologi yang belum dan sudah sertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie berjumlah 40 orang, sehingga jumlah seluruhnya ditetapkan sebagai sampel penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya survei, dengan instrumen pengumpulan data adalah lembar observasi kinerja guru. Data dianalisis dengan teknik persentase. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru yang belum dan sudah sertifikasi diuji dengan rumus chi-kuadrat (X2). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kinerja guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi dengan guru biologi yang sudah sertifikasi pada SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie, guru biologi yang sudah sertifikasi kinerjanya lebih baik dari guru yang belum sertifikasi. Kata Kunci: Kinerja Guru, Sertifikasi, Kompetensi Pedagogik dan Kompetensi Profesional. ABSTRACT One effort to improve the professional teachers is through certification. There are SMA Biology teachers who have been certificated and have not been certificated yet at 01 Pidie district area. To determine the performance of both groups of the teachers, it was conducted a research on Comparative Study of Biology Teachers’ Performance between biology teachers who have been certificated and have not been certificated yet. The objective of this research were (1) to find out the performance of biology teachers who have not been certificated yet with the performance of biology teacher who have been certificated, (2) to find out the different between the performance of biology teachers who have not been certificated yet and the performance of biology teacher who have been certificated. The population of this study was all the biology teachers who have not been certificated and have been certificated of SMA. The number of population was 40 biology teachers. As the population was limited so, all of population could be decided to be taken as the sample of the research (Population Studies). The method used in this research was descriptive. The data collection used was survey technique, with instrument data collection was observation teachers’ sheet performance. The data was analyzed by percentage. To find out the different between the teachers performance that have been and have not been certificated were test by using chi-square (X2). Base on the data analysis showed that there were significant differences between the biology teachers’ performance that have been certificated and have not certificated of SMA 01 Pidie district area. Certificated biology teachers performed better than biology teachers who have not been certificated. Keyword: Performance Teachers, Certificated, Pedagogical Competence and Professional Competence.
