This research aims to describe information about the mensural classifiers along with various traditional measurement tools used by the acehnese community in pidie jaya district, aceh province. a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach was applied. the research sites were five of eight sub-districts in pidie jaya district. the informants are 12 people selected based on certain criteria. the researcher used elicitation techniques in data collection by utilizing elicitation sheets that had been previously prepared. in addition, non-participant observation data collection techniques using observation sheets as instruments were also carried out to obtain additional information. during both processes, the researcher took photographs of traditional measuring tools used. the results of the research found that there are 43 mensural classifiers. there are also traditional measuring tools that use parts of human body, parts of plants, recycled goods, items sold in the market
