the objectives of this study are to figure out whether the use of two stay two stray improve the second year students of smpn 16 banda aceh in reading and to find out the students’ perspective about the use of two stay two stray. the population of this study is the second year students of smpn 16 banda aceh. the writer chose one class as the sample in this study. the data was collected by using tests and questionnaire. the results are analyzed by using statistical formula. the result shows that the use of two stay two stray in the teaching reading to the second year students of smpn 16 banda aceh was successful. it can be seen from the mean scores of the experimental class was
