the study is intended to find out whether the dialogue journal technique can
improve the students’ writing of recount text. this research was conducted at
sman 3 putra bangsa lhoksukon. the writer used experimental quantitative
research. the sample chosen in this study was class x-ipa1 by using random
sampling. the writer used one group pre-test post-test design. for the technique of
data collection, the writer administered pre-test, treatment and post-test. the mean
score of pre-test was 64 and the post-test was 80. the finding shows that the
improvement of the mean was 16. besides, the result of calculation of t
