Abstrak

Rina syafitri, 2014. english teaching at smpit nurul ishlah banda aceh (an evaluative descriptive study). thesis, graduate program in english language education of syiah kuala university banda aceh. advisors; (1) abdul gani asyik, m.a., ph.d., (2) t. zulfikar, m.ed., ph.d. key words: evaluative descriptive this is an evaluative descriptive study. the aim of this research is to provide a description of real situation in english teaching at smpit nurul ishlah banda aceh. this research mainly describes about the procedures of english teaching, which includes how teacher teaches english from the beginning to the end, teacher’s methods and techniques, and the difficulties of the teacher. the instruments used in collecting data for this research are observation sheet, interview guide, and document analysis such as syllabus and lesson plan. the result of this study showed that (1) the teacher applied these procedures of teaching: opening the lesson (brainstorming students ideas
