AbstrakAbstrak
telah dilakukan penelitian uji porositas dan kuat tekan papan partikel dari serbuk kayu dengan perekat pvac. tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi ukuran partikel terhadap porositas dan kuat tekan papan partikel dari serbuk kayu serta dapat memberikan informasi mengenai pemanfaatan serbuk kayu sebagai papan partikel yang memiliki porositas dan kekuatan yang baik serta ramah lingkungan. dalam penelitian ini, serbuk kayu menjadi bahan baku utama pembuatan papan partikel dengan variasi ukuran partikel besar (20 mesh), sedang (40 mesh) dan kecil (80 mesh). untuk pengujian porositas dan kuat tekan ukuran sampel yang digunakan yaitu 15 cm x 2,5 cm x 1 cm. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai porositas mengalami kegagalan dan hasil uji kuat tekan papan partikel sangat dipengaruhi oleh ukuran partikel. semakin besar ukuran partikel maka nilai kuat tekan yang dihasilkan semakin tinggi yaitu sebesar ? = 0,0792 mpa. ada ketidaksesuaian antara teori dan hasil
