Abstract nama : ainalmarziah student number : 0906102020040 study program : english education title : improving students’ reading comprehension by using think pair share technique improving students’ reading comprehension by using think pair share is the title of this study (an experimental study of students at smpn 1 banda aceh)”. the sample was classof viii2 consists of24 students. the researcher used random sampling to take the sample. this research used one group pre test-post test design.pre test was given before the treatment, while post test was given after the students treated bythink pair share technique. the reliability and validity of the test were checked. from the result, it was found that mean of pre test and post test was difference. the mean of pre test was 73.75 and the mean of post test was 88.33. then, t-test was 9.91 and t-table was2.069. the significant level used in this research was 0.05. since the value of
