Dengue hemorrhagic fever (dhf) is one of infectious disease which still to be the health problem in the world. the purpose of this study is to know the effort of society to solve dhf disease in syiah kuala district of banda aceh. the design of this study is descriptive by approach of cross sectional. sample of population were selected by cluster sampling. election of respondents was conducted by proportional stratified random sampling. collecting of data was conducted by questionare and data analysis was conducted by descriptive statistic and chi square. based on the result of study showed that the effort solving of dhf in syiah kuala district equal to 92% is good and 8% is less good, however the rate of knowledge on dhf equal to 29% is good and 71% is less good, behavior on dhf equal to 74% is good and 26% is less good. the availability of facility on dhf equal to 48% is good and 52% is less good. the relationship between knowledge of respondents rate on effort solving of dhf showed
