Abstrak

Abstract name : wilda agustina student no : 1306102020015 study program : english education title : numerals and classifiers in kluet language keywords : kluet language, numerals, classifiers the purpose of this study is to find out how are the numerals formed in the kluet language and how are the numeral classifiers used in the kluet language. this research employed the framework of alwi, et al., (2003) and sneddon (1996), generally there are eight types of classifier namely; definite numerals, indefinite numerals, distributive numerals, collective numerals, fractional numerals, numerals level, measurement numerals and classifiers numerals. the data of this study was taken from six informants and this study was conducted in pulo kambing north kluet, south aceh regency. the research method that employed in this study is descriptive qualitative method which tries to seek the data by using unstructured interview through provoke and face to face techniques as

e instrument to collecting the data. the result of this study showed that there are seven types of numerals that found in kluet language, namely; definite numerals, indefinite numerals, distributive numerals, collective numerals, fractional numerals, numerals level and measurement numerals, and some of the numerals encounter some morphological changes such as affixation, pluralization, and reduplication. in the term of numeral classifiers, there are approximately thirty five classifiers that were commonly used with nouns, but some classifiers are formed more characteristically in accordance with the nouns and contexts of the use. the suggestion of study goes to the locals and university students who have influential role to maintenance and develop the further study of the local
