t as an instrument of collecting data. by conducting the experimental research, it was found that using guessing games technique increased the students’ vocabulary in reading (recount text). based on the data analysis, the mean score of post-test is higher than the mean score of pre-test (84, 11>53, 05). it means that the students’ vocabulary in reading (recount text) have increased by using the technique. therefore, the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (ho) was rejected. it can be concluded that the result was significant.
