search, it was found that using jigsaw story writing improved the students’ recount text writing. to prove the hypothesis, the writer used t-score formula. based on the data analysis, the t-score was 4.225 meanwhile t-table was 2.056. it means that the obtained t-score is higher than t-table. therefore, the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (ho) was rejected. the writer concludes that teaching recount text through jigsaw story writing can improve the students’ ability in every aspects of writing; organization, content, grammar, vocabulary, and
