Abstract name : rizka febriansari student no. : 1006102050030 study program : english education title : the analysis of interlingual errors on students’ written translation (a qualitative research at smp negeri 6 banda aceh) keywords: students’ errors, interlingual language, translation. this title was chosen since there were many senior high school students who still make errors in translating sentences in english. this study was intended to find out the types of students’ error when they translate indonesian sentences into english sentences. therefore, it only discusses about the errors they have done in translating english sentences. descriptive qualitative was used in this study and the subjects were all of students of second year at smp negeri 6 banda aceh. moreover the instruments used in this study was a test. the finding shows that there were 343 errors students made in translating 12 sentences. it includes grammatical interference with the
