Abstract name : siti sundari student no : 0906102020082 study program : english education title : a causal correlational research on the effect of the motivation on students’ learning achievement in english keywords: motivation, learning achievement this research aimed to identify the significant effect of mtsn rukoh students' motivation on their english achievement. the population was the second grade students of mtsn rukoh, banda aceh academic year 2013/2014 which the number of population was 100. the sample was 27 of second grade students which were determined by using random sampling technique. this research used causal correlation ex post facto as design with quantitative approach. the instruments which were used for the data collection were documentation and questionnaire. the result of the regression statistical analysis showed that motivation contributed to the learning achievement by 45.1 %. the shape of the regression equation was ?=17.547 + 0.766 x. the
